Lector Ministry

Are you called to be a Lector?

Ministers of this crucial liturgical ministry have the privilege of proclaiming God's Word to the parish. As a lector, you will rehearse your assigned scripture passages, helping strengthen your relationship with the Lord as you study the pronunciations and inflections of His message.

Lectors must have a strong, clear speaking voice and the ability to read in front of the congregation.

As a Lector you will proclaim either the first or second reading and also lead the Prayers of the Faithful at Mass.

Training and lector workbooks will be provided. 

Members must be confirmed and a Catholic in good standing. It is Corpus Christ’s policy that Lectors are not involved in Eucharistic, Hospitality, or Music Ministry.
