1st Impressions (Welcome Table) Ministry might be the first contact a new guest/family/potential parishioner has with the parish. As they arrive for weekend Mass, members of this ministry are the welcoming face(s) beneath the pergola, right beside the rose garden, greeting everyone with a smile. Duties include:

• Setting up/putting away the Welcome table. The Sunday 8am Mass volunteer sets up the table, and the 12pm Mass volunteer puts the table away. The Saturday 5pm Mass volunteer does both.
• Answering questions for new/first time guests about Corpus Christi.
• Handing out free materials like booklets, prayer cards, and coloring books.
• Pointing people in the direction of a staff member or ministry volunteer who can answer questions that you can't.

Plenty of training is provided, and you aren't expected to know everything at the parish. Sometimes, this ministry is just about being approachable and present, and acknowledging every person who steps onto the parish grounds.
