Our Faith, Mission, Covenant and Strategy

Our Faith

We believe in God, the Father Almighty,                                             baptism-font-fr-tim-ramaekers
Creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ
His only Son, our Lord
who was conceived by
the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;

He ascended into heaven,
is seated at the right hand
of God the Father Almighty;
from there He shall come to judge
the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen

Our Mission

Love God.
Love Others.

Our Covenant

We support and further the 5 purposes of the church through:

Love God (Worship) – To deepen our relationship with Christ and His Church, by praying and actively participating in the Mass and Sacraments.

Love Others (Connect) – To deepen our relationships with one another by building a stronger or more vibrant community.

Grow  – To deepen our faith through spiritual growth opportunities.

Serve – To deepen our commitment to live out our faith through service to others.

Proclaim – To deepen our faith by proclaiming the Gospel and when necessary, use words.

Our Strategy

  1. Our strategy is to try and meet each person exactly where they are in order to challenge them to take their next step.
  2. Our strategy is to reach out to disconnected Catholics in Aliso Viejo, and neighboring communities, with the life-changing message of the Gospel to make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Our weekend experience is central to our strategy and the weekend message is central to the weekend experience. Music, message, and ministers work together to create an environment of energy and excellence in which newcomers feel welcome and want to come back. Equally important are energetic weekend programs for children where the messages usually parallel the adult message.

Newcomers are encouraged to come back.

Regular weekend attendees are encouraged to take the next step and become a member.

Members are challenged to take their next steps: serve in a ministry, worship through their tithe or financial support, support our outreach to the community, spend daily quiet time with God, and increasingly honor God in all areas of their daily lives.

CLASS (Catholic Life And Service Seminars) Sessions

What is CLASS?
God wants you to take your next step spiritually.  That could mean taking steps toward belonging to our church faith family, completing your sacraments, committing to digging into the Bible each day, discovering how God wants to use you to help others, or just learning more about God’s plan for your life.  Corpus Christi’s classes are all about those next steps…
