The First Saturday Men’s Fellowship provides an opportunity for Corpus Christi men to gather for friendship, service projects and mutual support in their efforts to be Catholic-Christian disciples of Jesus Christ. Through their sponsorship of retreats, barbecues, work-parties and breakfast gatherings, men are provided a forum and opportunity to socially interact, develop fellowship and share the experiences of their lives with one another and discern the grace of God working within them.
The cornerstone of the ministry is the ‘First Saturday of the Month Breakfast’. This provides an opportunity to catch up with friends over a hearty breakfast which the men of the ministry prepare that morning, exchange ideas on ministry events that we may wish to engage, share testimonials and discussions on spiritual topics. Each meeting includes a central topic that often includes an enlightening presentation by a guest speaker. Breakfast begins at 7:30 am in the lower hall, and concludes by 9:00 am . . . a great way to begin a Saturday morning and the month ahead.

First Saturday Breakfast
Note: Unless otherwise noted in the weekly Bulletin, men are invited to gather on the first Saturday of each month for breakfast beginning at 7:00 am in the parish lower hall. No registration is required – just show up, enjoy the meal and the company of a great group of Catholic-Christian men. If you would like to share your culinary skills please show up between 6:00 and 7:30 AM in the kitchen to help prepare breakfast.

Saturday Morning Hike
On the other Saturday mornings when the FSMF Breakfast is not being held, a group of guys show up for an early morning hike to take in the incredible scenery, the fresh air and partake in conversation and banter.
The Trail: Unless otherwise noted the trail is the same each time. It’s in the Laguna Beach hills just north of Main Beach. It is 4.7 miles long and has an 800 foot elevation gain. Nobody is there to set any records, so the pace is casual. To get there from Coast Highway going North, turn right on Viejo Street, then a left on Hillcrest Drive and a right on Dartmoor Street. The trail head and parking is at the end of Dartmoor.
Meeting Time: Most of the guys meet at the Urth Caffé (308 N. Coast Hwy.) in Laguna between 6:30am and 7:00 am. If you prefer to catch a few extra winks, just show up at the trailhead by 7:05 am.

FSMF Planning Meeting
On the third Thursday of the month interested individuals meet with the ministry leader (Ben Paine) to discuss and plan events, and review other relevant topics. The meeting is open to anyone who would like to participate and share their ideas.
Time: The meeting starts at 7:00pm and lasts 60 to 90 minutes
Place: Unless otherwise noted, the meeting takes place in one of the first floor meeting rooms
