This month, we are doing a brown paper bag collection for friends at South County Outreach in order to help replenish their food pantry so that they may aid the struggling families in our community during this coming holiday season.
How this works:
We are handing out brown paper bags with lists of highly needed food and toiletry items (such as the items below).
Canned Chicken – Rice – Peanut Butter – Jelly – Soup – Bagged Beans – Cereal – Juice – Pasta – Pasta Sauce – Top Ramen – Macaroni and Cheese – Chili – Ravioli – Tuna – Canned Fruit – Baby and Toddler Food – Shaving Cream – Disposable Razors – Shampoo – Conditioner – Body Soap – Feminine Supplies – Diapers – Lotion – Dog and Cat Food – Laundry Detergent
Please take a brown paper bag, and return it, filled, on the weekend of October 28 and 29th.
Brown bags can be picked up at the Welcome Table before or after ANY Mass on the weekends of October 14/15 and October 21/22.
South County Outreach is also extremely grateful for cash and check donations. Through their resources, they can turn $20 into $200 worth of food, enabling them to purchase what is missing from their pantry, and provide more nutritional foods.
If donating cash or checks: please put your donation in a Sunday offertory envelope and write “South County Food Drive” on the front of the envelope. Place the envelope in any Sunday Offertory basket.
Please make checks out to “South County Outreach” and write “Food Drive” on the memo line.
Thank you for your donation – whatever form it takes!
Please call the parish office at 949.389.9008 for more information.
