Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Martin Luther King Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement from 1954 until his death in 1968.

Born in Atlanta, King is best known for advancing civil rights through nonviolence and civil disobedience, tactics his Christian beliefs and the nonviolent activism of Mahatma Gandhi helped inspire.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”  Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

In honor of Dr. King, the parish office will be closed.  It will reopen on Tuesday, January 22nd at 8:30 am.
