Creating a Culture of Encounter: The Social Vision of Pope Francis
At the heart of the Church’s Social teaching is the clear conviction that Christ is present to us in the face of those most in need and that we must meet Christ there.
Dr. Jonathan J. Reyes will consider PopeFrancis’ analysis of our current cultural moment, the state of the Church in relation to its mission, and his vision for how we address
the deepest challenges that we face.
This vision will be grounded in the history of Catholic Social thought, with a special consideration of the teaching of Pope Leo XIII and Pope Benedict XVI.
This event is free to all.
