CLASS 301 is our FUN class--because it's all about YOU! In CLASS 301, we will introduce you to the SHAPE acronym, which stands for the building blocks that make you YOU. You'll get to fill out your SHAPE profile in preparation of meeting with one of our SHAPE Discovery Guides. They'll walk you through prayerful assessment of your qualities, and see what Corpus Christi ministries you might be suited to serve in.

Already serving in ministry? Come to CLASS 301 anyway! The process of finding your SHAPE and meeting with a SHAPE Guide can affirm the good work you already do for your Corpus Christi Faith family. It could also reveal other ministries that you might want to try out!

You must have attended CLASS 101 and 201 in order to progress to CLASS 301. Bring the CLASS binder you received at 101, as we will add to it in 301.

In today's Gospel, Jesus ascends a mountain to deliver God's law. Sound familiar?

There's a clear parallel between the Sermon on the Mount and the 10 Commandments received by Moses in the Old Testament. But in the Beatitudes, Jesus goes further. He doesn't just give us commands and prohibitions. He tells us what blessedness looks like.

In other words, he shows us that the Christian life isn't primarily about avoiding bad stuff, but is instead about embracing new life in Jesus Christ.

Today, let's reflect on how we can not only avoid the bad but strive after blessedness.

St. Thomas Aquinas, whose feast we celebrate today, is perhaps the greatest theologian the Church has ever known. But above all else, he was a friend of God.

In addition to his theological works, he also composed poems and hymns of adoration, like Tantum Ergo, which the Church chants during Eucharistic Adoration.

Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1571-1610), known simply as Caravaggio, is one of the greatest Catholic artists of all time.

He actually painted two works focused on the event we celebrate today: "The Conversion on the Way to Damascus" and "The Conversion of Saint Paul."

Interestingly, both include a horse, helping to spread the belief that Saul was thrown from a horse, though there's no mention of one in Scripture.

Today, as we remember this great moment in the life of St. Paul, let's pray that we all have our own "Damascus experience."
