The Corpus Christi First Saturday Men’s Fellowship cordially invites ALL men of the parish to our second annual One Day Retreat.
“If God is your co-pilot, it’s time to change seats:
Listening for God’s direction in your life.”
Presenter: Deacon Al Scaduto
Deacon Al was ordained in the Diocese of Orange in 2013. He is currently assigned to St. Edward the Confessor parish in Dana Point where he and his wife, Linda, reside. Like most of us, his spiritual life has taken many twists and turns. He reconnected with his faith after coming to the realization that only by God’s grace and salvation he would find peace and happiness.
As an ordained member of clergy, he brings to this retreat a unique background of a husband, father and police officer. He retired as a law enforcement executive of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department where he served for 35 years. His extensive experience as a patrol deputy and detective encompassed numerous patrol assignments including high crime areas such as East Los Angeles and South Central L.A. As a detective he investigated violent street gang crimes and major local, national and international drug trafficking.
Deacon Al has been involved in training most of his law enforcement career, but he is most noted for lecturing on the subject of interpersonal communication skills. His training focused on saving careers and marriages.
Over the last 12 years Deacon Al and his wife have been on a spiritual journey of missionary work in the poorest areas of the Caribbean, Asia and Africa. They serve the poor, sick and hungry, working side by side with an order of brothers called the Missionaries of the Poor.
In Deacon Al’s new vocation, he finds most rewarding in serving others and making the “Good News” come alive in our daily lives.
Our program begins with a hearty breakfast prepared and served by the members of the fellowship and includes lunch. We will end the program with Communal attendance at the 5:00 PM Mass, followed by dinner served in the lower hall
All for $35.00!!
You can register at the FSMF table after Mass, or by e-mail: BPaine55@gmail.com
We look forward to seeing you there!
