The realities of looking for a new position in the current job market are complicated and can feel overwhelming at times. In order to reduce the complexity and anxiety of a job search, it is important to have the necessary tools to organize your search, promote your value, and become the candidate of choice.
The NETS Ministry will be hosting a career transition workshop designed to help people who are contemplating or are in job transition. The workshop offers six separate training modules that cover the current aspects, trends, and tips associated with looking for and landing your next position. The workshop will be presented by Ron Feher who co-founded the Saddleback Church Career Coaching & Counseling Ministry 15 years ago and provides career coaching and training to churches, communities, and businesses.
The modules will be presented in Meeting Rooms 3 & 4 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Aliso Viejo from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on the following dates:

Establishing a Transition Plan – This module deals with the realities of looking for a job in this day and age and in these economic times. It includes the realities of a job search, the steps for creating a transition plan, and coordinating your plan with God’s plan.
Marketing Tools – This module identifies the tools you need to be part of your transition plan. It includes discussions on positioning statements, creating a value proposition and personal brand, elevator speeches, resumes, cover letters, biographies, special reports, marketing portfolios, business cards, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
Networking – This module discusses the realities and value of networking yourself into your next position. It includes building your network, venues for networking, and online networking.
