People of God,
On the Fifth Sunday of Lent, I, along with our Bishop, priests of the Diocese of Orange, and other religious leaders throughout the county spoke about our opposition to a Physician Assisted Suicide Bill known as SB128 – “The End of Life Option Act.”
We suffered a setback in October when Governor Brown signed the bill into law.
The Bishops of California have decided not to accept this legislation and to work towards overturning it through the referendum process.
On the weekend of November 21/22 (as well as the next weekend – November 28/29) petitions will be available for signatures outside at our parish “Welcome Table”. You must be a registered voter in Orange County to sign the petition and you may only sign the petition once.
