On the road from childhood to adolescence, JAMS offers a safe and fun way for preteens to explore their faith and build friendships with other 6th-, 7th- and 8th-graders. Running from September to June, JAMS usually offers a twice-monthly lineup of mingling, music, meals, prayer, service projects, team-building games, and faith-related discussions and activities.
The group also sponsors an annual winter weekend retreat that focuses on a relevant faith topic and promotes community-building.
Regular JAMS meetings are led by Corpus Christi’s youth ministry coordinator, with parents and youth leaders serving as small-group facilitators. The youth leaders also provide music and share their experiences as young Catholic-Christians, helping to establish a climate of energy and safety.

To promote family involvement, parents are invited to three JAMS meetings a year: a family barbecue/orientation session in September, and fall and spring gatherings that focus on faith topics and family relationships.
